Dear Parents,
Raffles House appreciates the responsibilities it carries in the
education of our children. It is important for us that we constantly
ask you how we are doing, in order to ensure that we do not falter
in our constant search and delivery of the best for our children.
We want to thank you for your confidence and trust
in our undertaking. We also want to thank the parents named below
for their kind words and their consent to publish the following
reviews.
Thank You.
Sincerely,
Isabel Ng
Executive Director
From
Parent Kay Mason, Esme's mum.
- Esme is 2 years old.
“ Raffles House came highly recommended by a friend….
And after visiting I was confident I had found the right place for
Esme…”
“ Esme was a little hesitant to leave me
at first, as you would have expected, but all the staff at Raffles
House took care to ensure this transition was as easy as possible.
We were always met by staff who was familiar to Esme and within
a matter of days Esme was waving “goodbye” and going
happily into school... ”
“ I feel she has also thrived developmentally
in this caring environment. She clearly loves arts and crafts and
proudly brings home paintings and models she has made in school.
She also surprises us with new songs she learnt and we often catch
her counting and reciting her ABCs…”
“ Personally, I am also impressed with the
structured education the school provides and the way this is reported
back to parents. I will be truly to leave Raffles House when we
return to UK and would have no hesitation in recommending this school
to others… “
With kind regards,
Kay Mason
From Parent Isabella
Choo, Brendan's mum.
- Brendan is 4 year old.
When my son Brendan started
nursery school at a kindergarten at church,
I didn't imagine that it was going to be a traumatic experience
- for
the both of us. He was maladjusted and became depressed at the end
of
the first week. I was stressed, disturbed and worried when he
consistently used the words " boring", " teachers
are unfriendly" and "
don't leave me here...". He never went back after attending
just 7
sessions.
Now, I am paying more than double of what I did before, but I have
no
regrets as it is worth every single cent ! Not only did Brendan
not
shed a single tear from day one, he uses positive words for Raffles
House such as " this school is fun", " my favourite
school", " I like
to go to school", "I had fun today".
Words cannot express my gratitude to your wonderful
team at Raffles
House, especially to you, Ms Julie and Chinese teacher Li. All of
you
made Brendan feel at home and provided him a secure environment
for
play and learn. I am pleased to note your bright and cheerful set
up,
as well as the high standard of cleanliness kept at all times. I
also
appreciate your help to receive Brendan from the car in the morning.
I am pleasantly surprised to read very good articles
on your website's
"Parent's Corner" , I find the information useful and
relevant. Perhaps
the website could also be used to publicize some of the school's
activities and artwork done by the children.
Well, the month of Feburary has been a good start
to a new beginning
for Brendan, and I look forward to see him grow and flourish under
your
nurture and care.
Thank you for making the difference !
With kind Regards
Isabella Choo
From Parent Goh Shu Fen, Hyu Seong's and Tynn Yi's mum.
- Hyu Seong and Tynn Yi are 2 years old and 4 years old
respectively.
We have two very inquisitive and active kids aged
4 and 2. After checking out every well-known school in town, we
found Raffles House Preschool an excellent choice. They have a stimulating
environment, caring and committed teachers and staff, and over and
above that, a management that values feedback and genuinely care
about the kids. In my opinion, these are qualities that differentiate
them from the rest.
From Parent Fong Ree, Jade Er's mum.
- Jade is 3 year old.
First of all, I have to thank God that I chanced
upon Raffles House Preschool one day while traveling along Bukit
Timah Road. We have been keeping a look-out for a suitable pre-school
for our child, basing on a few priorities that we set for our choice.
When I visited the school one day, I was impressed by the ambience
that the whole environment exudes. It is clean, spacious and pleasant.
It gives me a very warm and cosy feeling. Somehow, I felt that was
the school I wanted for my child, although there were still other
considerations to make.
My child has been attending Raffles House
Preschool for more than a month now and we can really tell that
she thoroughly enjoys school. She will come home singing songs that
she learnt there and get us involved with some dance steps that
she learnt from her teachers. On top of that she kept on mentioning
names of her teachers, meaning that she is proud of them, and has
progressed tremendously in her expressions, using vocabulary that
surprised us. She has also begun to show some keen interest in using
Mandarin at home.
With all these little signs of progress my daughter demonstrates,
we are glad that we put her in Raffles House for we feel that she
felt loved there. Great curriculum and nice facilities apart, we
place high priority in the quality of teachers, not so much as their
qualifications, but in their genuine love for young children. For
that, we can feel it in Raffles House Preschool.
From Parents Han Kwee and Poh Keng, Dad and Mum of Faye-Anne. - Faye-Anne
is 4 years old.
Less than two months have passed since our daughter Faye-Anne started
attending nursery class at your preschool, and we are delighted to
note that she has blossomed in many ways under your guidance. We like
your clean, bright and cosy environment and believe that your close
individual attention and warmth towards her has greatly contributed
to our child`s positive transformation in many ways.
Instead of lacking confidence and being extremely shy, Faye-Anne is
now more independent and shows greater control in self-care. Thanks
to the regular outdoor play and various activities at the school,
she has better eye-hand coordination. Her gross and fine motor skills
have been refined. She seems to have also taken a keen interest in
socialising with her peers.
Language skill-wise, she now rattles off fluently in English without
prompting. No longer does she insist on speaking to us in Japanese,
that which she has picked up since she was an infant. Where she had
formerly shown resistance to learning Chinese, her current display
of interest to listen, speak and sing in Mandarin is also something
we are grateful for. We were most impressed when she started to write
her own name in both English and Chinese. All these she has learnt
within a very short time at your school.
Our child, who is now enjoying every bit of learning, brings home
pleasant surprises every day. Her rapid development in social, emotional
and cognitive aspects deeply impresses upon us the importance of a
carefully-planned preschool curriculum. We are confident that she
will continue to reach further heights under your care and supervision.
Thank you very much.
